Our Editorial Standards
MyAutoResource exists to help readers make clearer decisions, not to sell them something. This page explains how we create, source, and review our content so you know what stands behind every article.
Who writes and reviews our content
Articles are researched and written by the MyAutoResource Editorial Team and reviewed for accuracy and sourcing by Steven Sun, founder of Bright Horizons Media, before they are published. We are a publisher, not a licensed agent, mechanic, or financial advisor; our articles are informational and are not a substitute for professional advice.
How we source facts
Every statistic, dollar figure, rule, and threshold we cite is drawn from a primary source — a federal agency, a state regulator, or a recognized industry data provider — and linked inline so you can verify it yourself. When we cite a number, we cite where it came from. We do not publish figures we cannot verify.
How we add value
We aim to give you something you can’t get from a product brochure: real cost math, sourced comparison tables, and plain-English explanations of the terms that decide outcomes. Where we translate a technical term or a dollar threshold, we explain what it means for you in practice.
Accuracy, dating, and corrections
Rates, rules, and program details change, so each article shows when it was last updated, and we revise articles when the underlying facts change. If you spot an error, tell us through our contact page and we will review and correct it.
Advertising and affiliate relationships
Some articles contain affiliate links, which are disclosed on the article. When we earn a commission it never changes our editorial judgment or what we recommend, and it comes at no extra cost to you. Editorial decisions are made independently of any commission.
